GoldStar is an attempt to help supply the world with more handmade goods. Why handmade? First off, buying handmade supports independent artists and crafters in their work. Since handmade items are not mass produced on heavy machinery in factories around the world, they don't add to our already polluted air. What else? Quality. Each item is carefully created by someone who both loves what they do and wants to provide you with the most incredible finished product they can! It's difficult to say the same about that cheap, but kind of cute necklace at that big chain retailer down the street. Lastly, handmade items make incredible gifts! Sure, those pre-packaged holiday gift sets seem nice, but they're not unique, and we've all received them probably one too many times. Buying handmade for gift giving is showing the recipient you care... care for art, the environment, and most of all, THEM!
